installing tiger on a dvd less mac?

i am trying to put os x 10.4 on a old g4 ppc (the one with the monitor on a arm that could move around) this is my first mac and i dont want to buy a external dvd drive. the mac currently has os9 and is not supported by anything. i have a new windows computer with dvd, firewire, and pretty much every conector. i was wondering what options i have for installing tiger on this computer. also could i install any dvd drive in this mac and it work. or does it have to be a special one....oh and os9 wont recognize the cd drive.

You need to install the operating system from a flash drive and boot the computer with it to install the operating system.
Get a 4gb flash drive, call a friend with a Mac, and have them restore the Tiger disc to the flash drive.
You probably don't know what im talking about but they will.

If you don't know anyone with a Mac then just go to the Apple store on a Monday night when they're not busy. Im certain they wouldn't mind taking 5 minutes to do it for you.
