How do I disk copy Mac Os X [10.5.1] Leopard using a standard 4.7 G DVD?

I'm brand new to Mac Notebooks and need help.
The capacity of the OS 10 [10.5.1] Leopard DVD is 7.11 GB. Can I disk copy to a standard 4.7 GB DVD? Or I need special disks? Also is any special software required?

no special software needed. what you will need though, is to type complicated terminal commands. with these, you will have to delete the extra languages and developer apps. try to google it. Hope this helps!
