Mac users (or people who randomly know the ropes), I need help?
How do you set the default word processing application as pages? Right now, mine is set on word and I just bought Iwork 09 and want to change it.
There really is no default application setting on a Mac. Files will automatically open in whatever application created them, but here's what you can do...
Since Pages will open Word files, choose any Word (.doc) file and click it once to highlight it. Then press command-I to "get info". The info box for the file will come up.
There is a drop-down menu in this box that says "open with". It will be set for Word, but drop it down and change it to Pages. THEN, click the "change all" button under it where it says: "Use this application to open all documents like this."
