I installed Mac OS X Leopard on my already running Tiger with the mac-up-todate DVD, but login doesnt work?

I have installed Mac OS X Leopard on my already running Tiger, with the Mac Os Leopard Up-To-Date DVD, but after the installation, my login screen asks for my password and i enter it correctly but then the screen flash brightly for 2 seconds and returns back to the login screen. What should i do?

You need to boot off the installer disc.
When it launches there is an option under utilities to reset your password.
