How do you install Mac Os X 10.5 on a computer that does not have an operating system?

I am thinking about getting a mac laptop that doesn't have an operating system installed but it comes with the Mac 10.5 cd. So if i do get that laptop, how would i install the operating system without an operating system already on it?

Put the CD in and hold down the option key and click on the Mac Osx Installer when it shows up.

I hope you are getting a really good deal on it. No way to know if anything else is wrong with it.
