How to update to Mac Os X 10.5.6?

I have the old macbook and it's version is 10.4.11 and it's processor is 2GHz Intel Core Duo.
How can I update it to the 10.5.6 leapord? I keep trying from the apple website but I am having problems.

My sister has the 10.5.6 on her macbook pro. Could I use her installation CD? Would it work without erasing my whole hard drive?

U can update ur laptop using her installation dvd, but it's illegal!
anyway.. after updating apple keeps ur files, apps, etc.. by upgrading it moves ur data to a folder called "previous system files" (as i remember)
or if u just update, ur files doesn't move at all..
