How to update Mac OS X 10.4.1 without internet?
I just got an old mac with Mac OS X 10.4.1, but it has a broken ethernet port and no wireless. How can I update it? And is updating to leopard free?
Warning: This is my first Mac computer.
Leopard would be an upgrade not an update. Updates are free Upgrades are not. If you don't have an Airport card in it, buy one or another wireless options (USB) like Afterthemac.com. You should also be able to download the update on another computer and put it on a thumbdrive maybe. That is, unless you have no Internet at all.
