How do I open Gimp on my Mac OS X system?
I have recently downloaded the new Gimp software for Mac OS X (I have double checked that I have X 11 in my utilities and my comp is Mac Os X Tiger 10.4.11) and downloaded it successfully on my desktop though after I drag-and-dropped the app into my "Applications" folder, the program starts, very briefly, but then shuts down. Any suggestions?
From the error it sounds like X11 isn't up to date. Or maybe XQuartz is out of date. http://xquartz.macosforge.org/trac/wiki
