Did anyone get the new Chevelle CD? Sci-Fi crimes?

What did you think of it, i thought it was alright.

I absolutely loved their new album! I wasn't a die hard Chevelle fan before this album but I did like their big hits, Send the Pain Below, The Red, Ect. But this album has made me a die hard fan.

I usually stick towards some harder music like Disturbed and Metallica but I do enjoy the occasional slower and smoother music. In this album I found both sides of what I enjoy. There is the harder songs (not even close to Distrubed's but) that I can enjoy rocking out to. But on the other side there are the slow songs that I can just sit and listen to while reading (which I don't do often) or getting ready to go to sleep.

But the thing I found more intriguing than any aspect of this album is the fact that I can sit and think for hours while listening to it. It is so insipring. Not exactly the lyrics (even though the the lyrics are the kind to be inspired too, they are just a little to deep to instantly see the meaning to them) but the music itself. The instrumentals flow into the vocals in such a way that is absolutely mind blowing. I can't even describe the feeling I get. It is just SO intense. I feel immersed into the music.

So as for me..... I love it and I hope they continue to produce music this good. Unfortunately I don't know if this album is going to get the respect I think it deserves. I just have feeling that it doesn't have a niche to fit into. I hope it does, but only time will tell.
