I have a cake design but it requires an ornament set to be on the cake?
My Aunt recently asked me what I want as a birthday cake, because she makes these really cool cakes for my cousins and brother, but I've never gotten one. I asked for a cake of Jonny Quest and his dog Bandit near a volcano with a pterodactyl at the top. The figures for the cake however are a Hallmark Ornament set, and I'm worried if this will affect the cake or not. Is it not a good idea to place a Hallmark Ornament on or near a cake? Jonny and Bandit will be on the outside area of the cake, while the pterodactyl will be above it or floating around the volcano near the front. Because the materials these things are made from may contain unknown chemicals, or lead, I would advise your aunt to wrap the parts that will touch the cake with plastic wrap, just to be safe. Even if it looks like plastic, depending on where they are made, some plastics also contain lead and other dangerous elements that are used in colorings and finishes. Better safe than sorry.
